Synopsis
A story of a middle-aged housewife whose life suddenly changes after losing her husband. Toshiko Sekiguchi, 55-year-old, is an ordinary housewife who manages a household while her husband works outside. After her husband’s sudden death, however, she learns that he has cheated on her for over ten years. In addition, her two children start quarreling with each other over inheritance. Feeling empty, Toshiko rushes out of home. Trying to settle into a life as a woman, not as a mother or a wife, Toshiko decides to carve out a new life. Based on a novel by Natsuo Kirino.
