Synopsis
An elite salary man (Nakai Kiichi) and his wife (Suzuki Kyoka), a career woman working in an advertising agency, have been married for 10 years. Both of them have been so busy with work that their marital relationship is thoroughly frosty and yet they attend her grandfather’s funeral service together, playing a loving couple. On their way back from the funeral service for her grandfather, their car bound for the train station breaks down. The wife starts walking along a forest trail which she calls a shortcut. Deep in the mountains with no one around them, the couple insult each other without hesitation. Because this is the first time in 30 years that the wife is walking on the trail, she loses her way on what she thought was the shortcut. This trail which the two of them have taken, has numerous “places of interest”. The man, who has a wealth of knowledge but completely no practical experience, sees an unexpected side of his wife that he not previously known.
